NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint series training institute of the Indian Armed Forces. It is located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra. The NDA entrance examination is conducted twice every year by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam consists of two phases written exam followed by SSB. Paper 1 is for the Mathematics section of 300 marks and paper 2 is for the General Ability Test (GAT) of 400 marks. The age limit for different courses is 16.5 to 19.5 years.

Our Programs

ABOUT Combined Defence Services

The Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Indian Air Force Academy. The exam consists of two phases written exam followed by an SSB interview. There are three papers in the exam. Paper 1 is in English with 100 marks. Paper 2 is General Knowledge of 100 marks, Paper 3 is Mathematics of 100 marks. The age limit varies from 19 to 25 years.

KDA- CDS 3 Months Residential Program (Men & Women)

Kovai Defence Academy offers 3 Months Residential coaching for CDS entrance examination. This training program is for Graduates who are aspiring to enter defence forces Aspirants will undergo 3 months Residential training with us in our KDA training centre located in Vidya Vikas International School, karamadi. This program offer Free 15 days SSB Capsule after their exams or during the course.

About AFCAT ENTRY (SSC FOR MEN AND WOMEN)

The Air Force common admission test (AFCAT) is a defence exam conducted by the Indian Air force for the selection of Class-1 Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). The AFCAT exam is held twice a year, in February and August/September. Its applications are available in June and December. Candidates can apply for all three branches of the IAF through AFCAT, which are the Flying Branch, the Technical Branch, and the Ground Duty Branch. Although, different branches have different eligibility requirements.

The Indian Air Force holds the AFCAT exam to recruit qualified candidates for:

  • Short Service Commission
  • Permanent Commission

*Except for NDA and CDS candidates, all other recruitment in the Indian Air Force is done through the AFCAT exam.

  • Both men and women are eligible to apply for all three branches.
  • While there is only a short service commission for women in all three branches, men have both a permanent and a short service commission.
  • However, AFCAT only offers Short Service Commission for the Flying Branch. Thus, if you pass both the written test and the AFSB, you will be eligible to join the Air Force Academy.

Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the online test and attendance at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) meeting. Newcomers settling in Ground Duty (Technical) branches must take both the AFCAT and the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

Sainik/RIMC/RMS Integrated Entrance Preparation

The Sainik Schools Society is an organisation under the Ministry of Defence. Sainik schools are ordinary citizen’s public school where deserving students get high-quality education irrespective of their income or class background.

Seats are reserved for children of SC/ST and serving/retired defence personnel.

The objective of the Sainik Schools is to prepare the students to lead as officers in the Defence Services of the country. The schools select bright and promising students through an All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) and focus on moulding their overall personality with emphasis on extracurricular activities. Sainik schools resources allow cadets to develop their skills in sports, academics and other extracurricular activities.

KDA- Sainik/RIMC/RMS 2 Years Residential Program (Boys & Girls)

Kovai Defence Academy in partnership with Vidya Vikas International School, karamadi offers Residential coaching for Sainik/RIMC/RMS entrance examination. This is an Integrated residential training program from class IV schooling.

  • Aspirants will be groomed in line of Military / Sainik schools
  • Most of the Activities of the Sainik School will be provided
  • The Day of the Student is divided into two halfs with Academics and Personality development Programs
  • CBSE pattern will be followed as far as Academics
  • Aspirants will be trained for Olympiad and Various scholarship exams
  • Boys and Girls are Admitted for the Academic year
